I plan to build my modular synthesizer from scratch.
There are six new housing for a total of 36 modules each with 6 1 / 3 inch width.
After the supply of power is built, move to and from the modules from the old to the new case to. They are all checked again, adjusted and fitted with new aluminum front panels. Some unfinished modules are then find their place.
The case is again built from MDF. I like the material - treated with linseed oil varnish, it gets a dark brown color. The boiled linseed oil dries very slowly and it also smells strongly, but it makes the surface and especially the edges (which really remain edgy, once sand gently) a little harder.
I show how the housing should be built. If someone from my plans wants to build his own case: I myself have not yet built, so there may still lurk error. Housing openings for the power supply are not yet located. Some holes in the MDF and the back strips seem pointless and are just drawn to keep the number of different parts low.
The front panels and knobs are still in planning.
